The above calculations use the swimming age factors in Table 3 in Fair (2004). They are based on pooling all the 100 meter and 100 yard swimming events for women. The age factors in the 90s and possible in the 80s are not very reliable because they are based on small samples for women. See the discussion in the paper. The age factors are:
